Ferrigno has been canning fish on the French Mediterranean coast, between Marseille and Sète, for over seventy years. This tin is one of the more distinctive in the range — and one of the more unusual you'll find anywhere.

Atlantic sardines packed in butter with Camargue fleur de sel — the prized sea salt harvested from the salt flats of southern France, with a mineral clarity that no standard salt can replicate. The combination is richer and more indulgent than anything preserved in oil, and it's built to be heated rather than eaten cold.

The move is straightforward: tip the sardines and the butter into a hot pan, warm through for two minutes, and serve immediately. Over steamed potatoes with a handful of parsley. Tossed through linguine, letting the butter become the sauce. Alongside crusty bread as part of a tapas spread. A tin that behaves more like a recipe than a conserva — and one of the few tinned fish products genuinely suited to the dinner table.
