Açor Anchovy in Olive Oil

A clean, restrained anchovy tin from one of Portugal's most established conservas names. Whole anchovies in refined olive oil — nothing added, nothing to distract from the deep, umami-rich flavour of a well-preserved fish.

The olive oil is gentle and neutral, keeping the anchovy at the centre. The flavour is everything a good anchovy should be: savoury, persistent, and considerably more complex than its three-ingredient list suggests.

Lay on buttered toast, fold into a warm pasta sauce, or use as the backbone of a dressing or tapenade.
